What do top US officials actually know about terrorist groups? Congressional Quarterly National Security Editor, Jeff Stein has been finding out and the results are not spectacular. Now Listen as Jeff describes his interviews with various top officials.
Rep. Silvestre Reyes of Texas, incoming Democratic chairman of the House of Representatives Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence doesn't know if al Qaeda is Sunni or Shia, in fact he doesn't even know who Hezbollah are.
If that's not bad enough, it turns out that when they say they have good intelligence, such as their claim that Iranian officials attended the North Korean nuclear test, they're making it up
